Kim Gibbons

Vice President of Consulting

Kim is Vice President of Consulting for iLead Consulting & Training. She initiated a strategy for deep culture change within the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) using The Leadership Challenge as the foundation to create a shared language and a shared experience for over 500 leaders. She also helped to reduce staff turnover and workload for various levels of her team of 6,000 DFPS field staff through enhanced training and leadership development for new caseworkers and managers.

Denise McDonald

Senior Director of Programs and Outreach

Denise is a Senior Director of Programs and Outreach for iLead Consulting & Training. She worked for the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services for forty-two years in various managerial and leadership positions, and recently moved full time into leadership development and coaching. As a Certified Master for The Leadership Challenge®, Denise wrote a case study for her role in the culture change of the agency entitled “Energizing the Culture of DFPS: Using The Leadership Challenge® as an Operating System.”

Kevin Johnson

Director of Operations

Kevin is Director of Operations for iLead Consulting & Training. He is also a Certified Trained Facilitator of The Leadership Challenge. Kevin has spent 20 years in the coaching world, as both a golf instructor and a mental performance coach. During his career, he has focused on working with elite junior and college athletes. Kevin’s strong career as a coach has been built around his ability to communicate with others and his desire to grow strong relationships built around trust and loyalty while allowing others to become better versions of themselves.

Michael Curtis

Senior Director of Advanced Facilitation

Michael is Senior Director of Advanced Facilitation Training for iLead Consulting & Training. He was previously a Manager in the Department of Family Protective Services where he led a team of nationally recognized trainers that provide protective services training, supervisory skills, and communication training in the great state of Texas. 

Tawnya Mitchell

Senior Director of Training
Tawnya is a Senior Director of Training at iLead Consulting & Training. She is a Certified Master of the Leadership Challenge with more than 15 years’ experience in corporate and public sector consulting roles. She has coached and facilitated leaders from varied environments, which include manufacturing, energy and engineering, as well as government agencies and non-profit organizations. Tawnya’s wide range of experience gives her the ability to connect with others to build strong relationships and communicate effectively.

Steve Skarke

Steve is a consultant at iLead Consulting & Training. He was previously a Professor of Practice in Chemical Engineering program. Steve is a 40-year veteran of the petrochemical manufacturing industry. Since 2007, he has not only applied the The Leadership Challenge to his own leadership, but has also used it with the various leadership roles he has had and is Certified Master Facilitator and is certified as a professional coach.

His various positions have included Process Engineer, Project Engineer, Production Manager, Director of Manufacturing, Executive Vice President – Site Manager, and Board of Directors Member. Working for a global Japanese manufacturing company, Steve also has experience beyond the U.S. in Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Africa, and Belgium.

He currently teaches at UTSA as a Professor of Practice in the Chemical Engineering program.

Connie Stephens

International Colleague

Connie is the President of HeadStart Consulting & Training in Shanghai, China. As a Certified Master in Training, Connie has been working hard for the past two years to bring the Leadership Challenge to Shanghai and beyond. Connie and her team were recently recognized as being the best coaching firm in China. She is well known throughout China and Asia for her research and for her contribution of bringing the Leadership Challenge to Shanghai.

Terence is the President of Tacsen Consulting based in Hong Kong, China. As a Certified Master, Terence has presented as several Leadership Challenge Forums. He has contributed to the Sixth Edition of The Leadership Challenge and has won numerous awards in Hong Kong for his training and facilitation.

Indianapolis, has been using The Leadership Challenge® in corporate and consulting roles since 1999 when she became a facilitator of TLCW with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. – an event that changed her life for the better! Since becoming a consultant in 2006, her primary business has been in implementing The Leadership Challenge and the Leadership Practices Inventory® in a wide-range of environments, including corporations in media, pharmaceutical, energy and engineering, as well as government agencies and non-profits. Renee is a mentor to several Certified Masters In-Training, has research stories in the 4th and 5th edition of The Leadership Challenge and has authored two facilitator guides for The Leadership Challenge brand.
